DaVita Sr. Specialist, Credit Balance (ROPS) in Tacoma, Washington

The Sr. Specialist ensures timely and accurate resolution of highly complex billing system and general ledger credit balances through monitoring and reporting. This position identifies process improvements and performs root cause analysis for current practices, procedures and insurance payer transactions. The Sr. Specialist may generate and approve refunds, returned refunds, denial of Payer refund requests, billing system revenue adjustments. Additional assignments include but are not limited to review of the day-to-day work output of teammates, assists with training functions, and answers questions for internal and external customers and acting as a liaison in the absence of Revenue Supervisor as needed. Routine Tasks / Special Projects * Performs daily/weekly/monthly administrative functions in accordance with policy and procedure and ensures timely review and submission of all requested items * Timely review of revenue adjustment and revenue correction requests with great attention to detail in compliance with federal guidelines and SOX narratives * Bulk transaction spreadsheet submission, including pre and post audits for quality assurance * Takes appropriate steps according to department policies to resolve credit balances including but not limited to requesting refund checks or retractions from the insurance payer * Ability to complete large/complex routine and ad hoc projects timely and with great attention to detail Customer Service / Leadership * Present themselves as available for teammate questions, everyday problems and assistance with difficult payer issues * Assist with management meetings, preparations, and analysis * Respond to teammates professionally over the phone, in-person in meetings, over email and through various systems. Follow appropriate etiquette and include all relevant details.
