MultiCare Health System Access Services Supervisor - Mary Bridge Ambulatory Clinics in Tacoma, Washington

POSITION SUMMARY: The Access Services Supervisor for Mary Bridge Ambulatory Clinics is responsible for the supervision of assigned staff who assure patient and provider friendly access to MultiCare Health System services and patient care, and accurately complete admissions/registrations in compliance with regulatory requirements and MHS policy. This position accountability for the quality of all admissions/registrations completed by staff reporting to other managers and interdependent relationships with Patient Financial Services and the care management team to ensure maximum cash flow and reimbursement for hospitals. This is a first line supervisor position with 24hour/7day responsibility directly supervising staff working at multiple locations and areas such as Imaging services on various hospital campuses to include Patient Access Technicians, Insurance Verification Specialists, Financial Counselors, Cashiers, and Receptionists. Work situations are varied and require leadership, knowledge and understanding of the regulations governing access to services, admissions and health information, payer requirements and contracts, organization, prioritization, good judgment, problem solving, and the coordination and delegation of workloads. Internal contacts include other Patient Financial Service divisions, Information Services, Medical Records, Laboratory, Clinics, and patient care departments. External contacts include patients, families, insurance companies, Dept. of Social and Health Services, Center for Vital Statistics, and other agencies. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Two (2) years of experience in Access Services, Hospital Registration or Revenue Cycle field required Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a leadership or a supervisor role One (1) year supervisory or lead experience preferred EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Associate s degree required, two (2) years of leadership experience will be considered in lieu of the degree JOIN OUR TALENT COMMUNITY Sign up to receive notifications of new jobs and other information.
