City of Sunbury is looking for a part time Administrative Assistant for the Police Department..and.nbsp; Position is part time to start with the possibility to become full time in the next 6 months.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Able to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and understand and follow directions.Ability to perform computer data entry, understand and implement computer software programs and operate various office equipment.Ability to understand and follow departmental policies and procedures.Ability to organize, prioritize, schedule, and manage office procedures and activities.Ability to function well as part of a team.Ability to perform each of the listed essential duties in a satisfactory manner.EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE, LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or equivalent required..and.nbsp;Associate's Degree or higher preferred..and.nbsp;At least 3 years of office management and clerical experience required..and.nbsp;Valid PA driver's license required.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Organize and manage general office procedures.Receptionist for police department front office: assist public, direct visitors, answer phone, provide information and assistance.Responsible for records management including organizing, processing, filing, and purging files in accordance with specified guidelines..and.nbsp;Manage calendars for Chief and Officers including scheduling appointments, hearings, and meetings.Prepare official correspondence and documents. Manage incoming and outgoing mail.Maintain all tracking logs.Coordinate multiple systems access for new hires; enter new hires into tracking system.Assist officers as needed.Attend meetings, seminars and training as required.Maintain an excellent personal attendance record.Assist with community events and preparation of events when required.Maintain strict confidentiality of all communications and records.Other duties as assigned.
