Job Summary

The role of QC Inspector for Cameron (M) Sdn Bhd is to assist the QC Supervisor to perform daily parts/products inspection for in-coming and in-process. The person is also responsible to implement the Quality Management System (based on ISO 9001 and API Spec Q1) and API 6A, 6D and 17D Specification and Standards. Included in the roles and responsibilities of the QC Inspector are:

  • Review quality plans, engineering drawings and follow inspection procedures to complete inspection activities.

  • Perform QC inspection activities covering Receiving Inspection and In-Process Inspection.

  • Review and update of Quality and Test Plans and assist in the completion of technical documentation for improvement as required.

  • Witness inspections and testing of equipment and complete paperwork as required.

  • Identify discrepancies during inspections and report findings to QC Supervisor.

  • Complete QC reports for inspected equipment.

  • Assist in the completion of technical documentation as required.

  • Authorize for creating and changing Non-conformance reports.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in Quality or Engineering or relevant discipline.

  • At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing environment especially in Quality Controls. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Understands Quality Standard requirements such ISO 9001, API Q1, ASME, etc.

  • Familiar in handling measuring tools for dimensional inspection and test equipment such as hardness tester.

  • Able to demonstrate PC skills.

  • Fluent in English and Malay for both written and verbal,

  • Positive thinking, good attitude, easy to delegate and passion for improvements.

  • Effective communicator and ability to interact at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with the SAP R2/R3 transactions.

  • Experience in handling measuring / NDT equipment.

  • Experience with NDT and weld inspection.
