About the job

The Analog Field Application Engineer is responsible for providing optimized application support out of Texas Instrument's (TI) broad product portfolio to customers in the automotive industry in EMEA. As part of an international account team the Analog Field Application Engineer acts as the technical bridge between the customer and TI's product lines to uncover innovative business opportunities.

The primary tasks of the Analog Field Application Engineer will focus on the following:

  • To provide technical pre- and post- sales support to customers

  • To solve customer problems and product challenges through positioning and presenting TI's product portfolio

  • To identify and create new business opportunities focused on system solutions across the entire TI portfolio

  • To identify and understand opportunities at the customers through frequent customer visits and follow-ups as well as through web-based approaches

  • To take part in the support strategy definition during development phases, from the feasibility concept to customer's production (jointly with sales and other internal teams)

  • To participate in the customer's system architecture definition

  • To promote and design-in TI solutions at the customers

  • To conduct workshops and techncial trainings for the customers

  • To collect, formalize and exchange relevant information with TI's business units

  • To propose new product specifications and/or applications with appropriate business plan details for TI's business growth and product differentiation and to build up and maintain relationships on a technical level

Qualifications

Your Qualification:

  • Several years of experience in R&D design or field application engineering, ideally related to TI's power management, signal chain or logic portfolio

  • Support experience and strong analog design expertise preferably in the Automotive environment

  • Broad technical understanding in the automotive electronics and its system application preferred

  • Electrical engineering degree, ideally with focus on electronics/analog technology

  • Fluent oral and written English and German language skills

  • Writing and presentation skills
