As a Nordic Sales Manager the successful candidate will have the sales responsibility for the Nordic MMS (Infusion and Dispensing) business. This includes full responsibility for driving sales, as well as taking part in developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies, plans and projects for the Nordic MMS business.

This position will be reporting to the Country Business Lead MMS Nordics. It actively shapes local sales strategy in alignment with European strategy and takes the lead to align and implement tactical execution of the sales and marketing plans. Leads and coaches the Nordic MMS sales team to reach short and long term sales targets and grow category share.

Main responsibilities

  • Actively shape local sales strategy in alignment with, and supporting, the overall Nordic strategy in cooperation with the CBL.

  • Support in the development of strategic commercial plans; including long-term pricing strategy

  • Identify and develop new local business opportunities to accelerate and sustain ongoing sales growth

  • Actively manage pre-tender activities and, in close cooperation with the Sales team and Price & Tender team, ensure professional tender management. This includes decisions on products offered, pricing and other commercial aspects of the process.

  • To provide leadership of sales team to ensure alignment of sales activities with marketing plans. This includes reporting and coaching responsibility for the members of the team.

  • Performing and exemplifying People Management and building talent that contributes to the ongoing success of the business as well as to identify and develop successors for his/her function or team functions.

  • To constantly monitor competitor activities and propose action as necessary.

  • Perform the needed analytical reviews to make sure the (short and mid-term) expected results are in line with strategy and expectations

  • To prepare and present monthly reports of sales performance for incorporation into the month-end reporting.

  • Help the CBL in the needed forecasts, ASR and budget process and be able to provide valid overall sales comments when asked for (e.g. monthly performance comments)

  • Make sure a good adaptation and execution of SFDC and the BD Way of Selling embedded in the Costumer Centricity actions, is in place. For Dispensing sales the Challenger sales methodology is applied.

  • To maintain a level of technical expertise, appropriate to the Sales Manager function on matters related to allocated products.

  • To maintain excellent, relevant, market knowledge and customer insight by direct customer contact.

  • A high level of customer interaction to develop and maintain a network of external stakeholders and strategic influencers in the relevant market environment.

  • To liaise with the Nordic and European Marketing team in planning and execution of symposia, meetings and exhibitions.

  • To liaise and ensure close collaboration with internal functions and stakeholders to ensure efficient collaboration.

  • The Sales Manager needs to secure that he/she complies with the company ethical values.

Profile

We are looking for a driven and highly dynamic candidate with a proven track record within the healthcare industry. You should have a significant depth and breadth of business knowledge and experience from the Medical Device or Pharma industries in the Nordic market.

Previous experiences within capital equipment sales as well as the tender process in the Nordics are advantageous.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with high level opinion leaders as well as the ability to build strong relations with internal and external stakeholders across different functions and country borders.

You should speak at least one Nordic language as well as English on a very good level. In addition you should have the willingness to travel within the Nordics and Europe.
