Due to rapid growth and increased demand for our Multi-Cloud solutions, we are actively seeking a high energy, tech savvy marketer to work with leaders in the NEMEA VMware Cloud (VMC) & Hybrid Cloud (HCI) businesses, respective EMEA Solutions Marketing team and Country Marketing leaders (UK/I, Benelux & Nordics/Baltics).
This role reports into the Head of NEMEA Marketing with a dotted line into the EMEA Cloud Marketing team. You would also be an extended member for the NEMEA VMC & HCI BU management teams.
You will own and drive the Multi-Cloud Marketing plans for NEMEA (aligned to corporate and EMEA priorities) across our VMC on AWS solution and our Hybrid Cloud solutions, through a blend of point programs and VMware Cloud Foundation programs. The latter supporting both on and off-premise digital foundation opportunities.
As you would expect, the Multi-Cloud marketing plan and associated programs span brand awareness, demand generation, sales acceleration and some ABM specific consumption programs, leveraging all aspects of the marketing mix.

Integrated marketing …. we don’t like random acts of marketing
Blended GTM routes across direct sales and the channel
NEMEA Multi-Cloud Marketing Plan
The marketing pipeline KPIs for VMC on AWS, VCF and vSAN
NEMEA Multi-Cloud References (in collaboration with country marketing and EMEA references team)
Major big bet EMEA programs (primarily thought leadership and digital) landing in country over a sustained period
Managing NEMEA opex investment with associated solution areas (blend of direct and influencing)
Representing NEMEA at relevant quarterly business reviews as the subject matter expert for Multi-Cloud marketing in the region.
The channel represents a critical part of our GTM plan. Whilst you would not be accountable for partner marketing of cloud solutions, alignment with our partner marketers in NEMEA would be required to ensure consistency and maximum leverage of big bet programs. Also, programs linked to key strategic relationship, e.g. HPE, Dell and AWS would require your support/attention.
Developing peer relationships with key VCF partners as well as AWS and other cloud alliances.
Alignment with our EMEA Executive Marketing, Events, References, PR and Digital marketing functions will ensure all marketing deliverables can be effectively leveraged for the NEME region.
Alignment with our digital Sales Centre in Barcelona is a critical component in supporting our commercial business and pipeline.
Ability to orchestrate and work within a virtual team set-up, where reporting lines do not dictate success, but attitude, building trust and influencing skills do.
Able to take technical/cloud concepts and translate them into customer centric outcomes/business value.
A strong understanding of integrated marketing …. Otherwise known as taking our customers and prospects on a multi-step journey and squeezing all the pips out of the lemon where we have big bet programs (like thought leadership programs)
A good juggler! There will often be several programs in market for different segments or personas via different channels
Able to take local input from our UK/I, Benelux & Nordic/Baltic teams to influence EMEA and Corporate marketing on major programs and investments
Able to use data to support decisions, internal influencing and investment, healthily balanced with a growth mindset and taking calculated risks
Excited at the prospect of being creative, and breaking the mold – NEMEA is on a trajectory to be the cornerstone of EMEA and we will accelerate that by challenging the status quo.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate with team members at varying levels, conceptually and tactically
Self-starter, highly motivated and able to think through challenges to come up with innovative solutions
