Raymond James Financial, Inc. Statements & Confirmation Product Specialist in St. Petersburg, Florida




minimal supervision, with a high level of autonomy, uses specialized knowledge

and skills obtained through education, industry experience and/or specialized

training to provide oversight and support with regard to Raymond James

statements and trade confirmations. Responsibilities include ensuring

that statements/confirms are produced and delivered in an accurate method that

meets firm and regulatory requirements with consideration to potential risk

exposure to the firm. Partners with multiple product areas, business

units and IT to research issues or problems, recommend a course of action, and coordinate

complex enhancements. Additionally, serves as a subject matter expert

with tactical and functional responsibilities on project teams and leads

multiple User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts to ensure accuracy with regard

to changes. Minimal guidance is provided to perform varied work that is

time sensitive and difficult in character requiring evaluation, originality and

ingenuity to make complex decisions with the potential for risk to the firm.

Resolves or recommends solutions to complex problems. Regular contact

with internal customers is required to identify, research, and resolve


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures integrity of statement/confirm documents through oversightof document content, production and printing processes.

  • Collaborates with trading groups, Raymond James subsidiary groups,internal operations departments, legal, compliance, IT and marketing toresearch, document, and facilitate complex data changes to Raymond Jamesstatements and trade confirmations that support firm and regulatory guidelines.

  • Determines and defines complex business requirements withstakeholders to recommend data and format changes that enhance the clientexperience, supports firm initiatives, and reduces firm risk. Coordinates inputand efforts across multiple departments, analyzing and researching data, andfacilitating necessary communication.

  • Leads functional testing for statement and confirm applicationincluding gathering test data, writing test cases, testing against functionalrequirements, managing remediation and retesting defects.

  • Partners with auditing and managers across multiple departments toidentify opportunities to decrease risk associated with managing the statementand confirm process. Follows through and manages recommendations which supportrisk management. Acts as a liaison with internal and external auditorsregarding requests and inquiries.

  • Manages the production process for statements/confirms includingcoordinating pre-production quality assurance reviews, overseeing returned mailprocedures and business continuity (BCP) efforts, following internal processesfor documenting requests or issues, and facilitating manual tasks associatedwith regulatory oversight within the statement and confirm process.

  • Develops audio-visual materials and facilitates presentations tobusiness stakeholders and branch personnel.

  • Provides administrative and analysis support to assigned projectmanagement teams and serves as liaison with technical and vendor support.

  • Performs some data analysis to support and implement businessprocesses and decisions.

  • Performs complex research across multiple departments toidentify and address problems or complaints.

  • Influences product and operational support areas to facilitatechange and incorporate processes that support the production of accurate andeffective statements/confirms.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Knowledge,Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Fundamental investment concepts, practices and procedures used inthe securities industry.

  • Basic principles of banking and finance and securities industryoperations.

  • Financial markets and products.

  • Intermediate level business case analysis.

  • Formal data testing concepts.

Skill in:

  • Defining and clarifying project requirements and parametersrelated to complex business concepts.

  • Creating and implementing data testing related to data integrity.

  • Maintaining business process documentation.

  • Developing audio-visual materials and presentations.

  • Developing effective communications to help educate/informregarding product specifications or changes.

  • Operating standard office equipment and using required softwareapplications.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products including, butnot limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in a related discipline and a minimum oftwo (2) years of extensive data analysis experience in the financial industry.


  • Any equivalent combination of education, training and/orexperience approved by Human Resources.
