KPMG is currently seeking an Executive Director, Technology Operations to join our Digital Nexus Technology organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead infrastructure operations of compute and storage environments to align with the firm's resiliency requirements; develop a strategic support roadmap to effectively migrate business services to next generation cloud and data architectures utilizing both public and private capabilities for IaaS, PaaS and SaaS

  • Run operations of local area network-wide area network (WAN) backbone connecting internal physical data centers, external cloud virtual data centers as well as specific requirements for all remote office and offshore locations including BVoIP architecture for enterprise unified communication; incorporate software defined (SDN) components both at the network core and edge to allow flexibility for addressing current and evolving digital and security requirements

  • Lead the infrastructure operations team aligned to security design patterns to satisfy the requirements of the office of the CISO, providing an operational framework against potential risk and vulnerabilities to the firm; Execute strategies for access management and provide effective logging and monitoring of traditional and emerging technologies

  • Effectively execute engineering and capacity efforts team to maintain standardized architectural patterns and solutions production and proactively monitor and improve infrastructure and application capacity and performance; Extensive coordination across a federated development delivery model (US firm and Global) will be required to ensure effective use of technology and investments to meet business requirements while optimizing the operational capabilities

  • Coordination and maintenance of firm-wide infrastructure and application standards plus platform capabilities such as orchestration and broker capabilities, API and reusable component repositories, Code Services (SDLC) cloud development platforms

  • Provide strong leadership and effective coordination and integration across a diverse IT estate and operating model that includes a federated technical structure consisting of centralized capabilities, distributed solution and application ownership and participation in providing global strategies in support independent member firms leveraging a global resource model

Qualifications:

  • Minimum fifteen years of experience in large enterprise ITIL delivery models with an established track record of leading, identifying and addressing business requirements in all aspects of Architecture, Engineering and Capacity Planning

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience

  • Strong leadership abilities with a business process and transformation mindset combined with a proven record in transitioning legacy environments to next generation platforms

  • In depth experience in building strong technical teams and processes that work in a 24x7x365 environment; able to set and execute strategic initiatives for team; Ability to direct, motivate and empower others to work towards the organization's goals, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across multiple functions

  • Outstanding verbal/written communication, collaboration, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and team work; creative thinker with ability to identify innovative business solutions; Ability to develop strategic organization and resource plans, defining next generation service delivery models

  • US Citizenship is required
