KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Information Risk Assessment to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This role is opened internally in all US KPMG locations and the locations listed in this posting.
Contribute to the security strategy of the firm, including planning, execution and controlling responsibilities; Lead internal and leverage external resources to operate and enhance the firm’s software security and penetration testing program
Performance manager for a team of employees, some of which are performance managers and create development plans and raise the skill levels of the team
Develop and administer budget for projects and operational activities and perform software security assessments and penetration tests of high profile, large impact technology enabled projects (e.g. firm acquisitions, strategic growth initiatives), activities include facilitation of security testing and management of residual risk
Serve as escalation for software security and penetration testing team as it relates to security risks
Interact with project teams, KPMG partners and other senior members of the firm to advise and assist with compensating control alternatives where security requirements cannot be met; Act as the primary point of contact between IT project teams and the IT Security group to ensure that appropriate security resources are scheduled and that security-related project objectives and timelines are met
Liaise with IT and other representatives of assigned business functions to ensure that project pipelines are understood and that project priorities are reflected in IT Risk & Security's resource planning; Function as a subject matter professional in several IT security domains (e.g. access control, cryptography, and monitoring), continuously improve the security aspects of operating processes and function as the subject matter professional on penetration testing and threat modeling for systems and applications
Minimum eight years of Experience in IT security, performing IT security risk assessments
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
Experience in information security risk assessments of high profile, large impact technology enabled projects
Prior knowledge in a supervisory role
Certifications requirement: CISSP. Other certifications of importance: CISM, CISA, CRISC, GWAPT, or GPEN
US Citizenship is required
