The Department of Culinary Services at the College of Saint Benedict invites applications for the full-time, benefit-eligible position of Residential Dining Manager. This position is responsible for planning, managing, coordinating and execution of the daily functions, as well as the retail and service staff (front of house and Dishroom) who carry out these functions within the safety, sanitation and budgetary guidelines, within the Gorecki Dining Center and Good 2 Go retail outlet. The Residential Dining Manager is responsible for customer service and promotes customer engagement among team members. RESPONSIBILITIES: Culinary Management Supervise the residential and retail operations and employees while on duty; provide leadership and direction to the Assistant Manager/Dietician, participate in management meetings; provide monthly department meetings; assist with short and long range departmental planning; prepare work schedules in accordance with anticipated guest counts and special events; participate in weekly planning meetings; maintain department/student relationships for the betterment of Culinary Services programs. Adhere to the institutions work order process. 3.Personnel Duties Hire, coach, and mentor a diverse body of students and non-student employees. Conduct performance appraisals; review job descriptions; adhere to the policies and procedures of the institutions and culinary handbook. 4.Training and Recognition Provide training and professional development opportunities for administrative, support and student staff; adhere to the mandated training for staff by the institution, local and state organizations.
