IMSAR LLC Applications Software Engineer in SPRINGVILLE, Utah

Our core expertise is in small, lightweight, low cost radar systems for unmanned and manned aircraft, primarily in the military domain. We cover the entire lifecycle, often beginning with defining a market where none exists, designing and building the product, training the customer on how to use the system, and supporting it in the field with field service technicians or an embedded analyst team within the unit we support. We have some exciting opportunities and we are looking to grow our team by bringing on a Computer Programmer-Software Engineer. Job Description You will develop and support existing software products that include, but are not limited to, programming Graphical User Interfaces, SQL database generation & querying, and general purpose computer programming. You must be capable of completing required tasks with little management oversight. You must have the following skills: Strong knowledge of C++ 3-5 years developing GUI software such as Qt (or show experience in other applicable GUI software APIs) OpenGL Relational databases (especially MySQL) We'd like you to have these skills: Knowledge of network programming using sockets Can generate database queries and understand architectures 3D graphics, image & video processing, and working with map & elevation data Lean Software Development Model (subset of Agile with hints of Scrum), git, Jira, and Confluence Ability to program in Windows and Linux environments and maintain portability Other qualifications: BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field High levels of creativity and quick problem solving capabilities Work well with others, excellent communication and interpersonal skills Benefits We like to take care of our team members.
