Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Technician (FSQR), is a vital role in the daily operations of our facility. The primary accountability for this position will be to monitor facility operations, conduct required audits and tests for food safety and quality, train employees to follow company procedures and USDA regulations, monitor SOPs, SSOPs and HACCP programs, assist with review of current procedures, specifications, and SOPs. Monitor shelf life and rework to reduce cost, document information and perform special projects as requested by supervisor.
While performing the duties of Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Technician (FSQR), the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces; moving mechanical parts; fast paced warm/cool environment. Positions require standing the entire shift and the use of PPE is required in all areas of the facility.
Perform pre-operational inspections
Audit product and processes for specification compliance
Sample and test product as required
Perform operational SSOP audits
Support Production as a specification resource
Perform HACCP related SOPs as required
Various other duties as assigned by FSQR Supervisor
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Previous food safety, quality, or food manufacturing experience preferred.
Previous Cargill experience
Work history in the past 12 months
