SKILS'KIN Small Engine Mechanic in SPOKANE, Washington

Salary: $18.30 per hour plus $4.18 per hour in fringe benefits. Position based at Fairchild Air Force Base. We are looking for a full time (about 35 hours per week) small engine mechanic who would coordinate and perform all activates involved with the maintenance, and basic repairs or all large equipment used to maintain the grounds on Fairchild Air force Base. This includes but not limited to trucks, trailers, field tractors and attachments, and turf mowers. Performs all maintenance and repair of a variety of "fractional-horsepower" gasoline powered equipment. This position would also serve as a backup to grounds staff as needed. Education/Experience: Must be able to pass a background check High School Diploma or GED required 5 years automotive maintenance and equipment repair experience Basic background in hydraulic systems You must also have empathy and respect for individuals with disabilities. Compensation & Benefits This is an hourly paid position and pay is issued every two weeks. As required by the Service Contract Act, Skils'kin pays an additional fringe benefit amount of $4.18 per hour toward the employee's health and welfare benefits which includes options for medical, dental, life insurance, and 401(k). Employees also receive paid sick leave and earn paid time off. Other Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license, be at least 18 years of age and have a safe driving record determined by Skils'kin's vehicle insurance carrier.
