Northwest Health Partners - Health Training Network Health Education - Full Time, Variable, Mon-Fri with some Saturdays variable times 8am-7pm Posted 2018-12-08 Req # 5968 Summary Statement and Purpose The lead MA Instructor is responsible for the day to day operations of the INHS MA education program.# This includes teaching, planning, scheduling, monitoring patient progress in classroom and lab activities.# In a daily capacity serves as the primary instructor for classroom and labs and evaluates the effectiveness and quality of instruction provided throughout the courses.# Counsels students on progress and handles disciplinary issues.# Makes recommendations to education partners on program and curriculum changes.# The lead MA Instructor consistently demonstrates professional performance and reflects the key mission, vision, and values of INHS. Complexity and Supervision Able to work through complex and analytical concepts and simplify them.## Ability to work with high school age students as well as adult learners.# Supervises the students enrolled in the programs. Technology and Equipment Virtual classroom technology, webinar platforms, web based programs/apps, MS Office, Internet, Computer, projector, fax, phone, copier, and various training equipment. Minimum Qualifications BS degree Completed 3000 clinical hours in a hospital or physician office setting RN, LPN, or MA-C license in WA State Clear background that would allow to become OSPI registered to teach in a high school setting Ability to travel within WA state Ability to work Monday #Saturday as neede Knowledge of delivering health education to small and large group settings. Knowledge of AV techniques and equipment Presents ideas and materials with good written, visual, and oral communication skills. Self-starter who can work independently and can function on conceptual and detail level Preferred Qualifications ACLS and/or# PALS certification or teaching credentials 2 years teaching experience OSPI certification # Job Specific Performance Responsibilities Serve as lead instructor for the MA program.# Instructs frequently in classroom and lab settings. Develops and modifies presentation and other methods of instruction Creative in means of ability to instruct students Primary person for scheduling curriculum, topics, homework, labs, and clinical time Tracks student#s progress and reports out as needed Counsels students on progress and serves in the primary position for counseling unacceptable actions Responsible for any online platforms and virtual learning platforms used in the programs Deal effectively with students in the classroom, phone, email, and virtual classroom settings Follow all contract requirements with identified education partners Maintain grade books, records, documents and other evidence required for program completion Instructs other courses as needed to assist the Health Training department Responsible for demonstrating awareness and sensitivity to information, ensuring privacy and confidentiality.# Knows basic HIPAA law and FERPA law. # Physical and Sensory Requirements, Work Environment and Conditions May operate computer for extended periods of time May stand to teach for extended periods of time Lift, carry, push and pull objects up to 20ls with occasional lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
