Job Description

We believe the role of Claims Associate will present you with such an opportunity.You will collaborate with Clinical Intervention Center (CIC) staff, pharmacy staff, nursing facility staff and physician offices to ensure timely payment of online submission of claims. You will also follow-up on all prior authorizations that have been sent to the insurer for review and communicate any necessary information to our customers.

Position schedule: Monday - Friday, 12:30pm - 9:00pm with an occasional weekend rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role you will

-Identify, monitor, scan and accurately distribute correspondence to various departments.

-Maintain resource documentation and ensure it is updated accordingly.

-Maintain mail files, both electronic and paper.

-Perform miscellaneous duties to support the office or departments, participate in various projects and/or meetings as designated by management.

-Work and partner with other internal and external departments to resolve issues.

-Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.

-Demonstrate Omnicare’s established Core Values.

-Align with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.

-You may be required and/or expected to work overtime, holidays and weekends

-Other duties as assigned.

Registered Pharmacy Technician with South Carolina Board of Pharmacy required within 2 weeks of hire

Required Qualifications

  • Pharmacy Technician Registration with the SC Board of Pharmacy required. If not already registered, must get registered upon accepting offer.

  • Healthcare experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • State and/or Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred

  • Pharmacy Technician experience preferred


High School Diploma or GED required.
