Perspecta Enterprise Application Administrator in South Charleston, West Virginia

Responsibilities

At Perspecta, we are seeking an Enterprise Application Administrator to support a HUD program. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing multiple applications including, but not limited to MicroFocus BSM (formerly HP BSM), Splunk, Dimensions, ServiceNow, Universal Discovery (UD), Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS), Confluence, Jira, and GitLabs in an enterprise data center environment, including providing day-to-day business hour, non-prime on-call, or call in support to assigned systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full integration of MicroFocus toolsets into customer’s environment.

  • Provide subject matter expertise in areas of architecture, planning, implementation,installing, configuration, assessments and upgrading of MicroFocus, CA, Splunk, and/orServiceNow solutions.

  • Lead technical engagement and deliver value to the client by implementing KPIs,application dashboards, and custom reporting.

  • Perform administration of the tools used to monitor and manage enterprise networks.

  • Develop maintenance procedures, manage operations, implement task automation andoversee monitoring of all tools platforms in the responsible area, including but not limitedto MicroFocus BSM, UD, Splunk, and TWS.

  • Perform assessment of existing environment and provide a recommendation forimprovement to program management office.

Qualifications

Required experience:

  • Requires 2 to 5 years with BS/BA or 0 to 2 years with MS/MA/MBA or 8 to 10 years with no degree.

  • US Citizenship, eligible to obtain Public Trust Security Clearance.

  • Specific domain knowledge on various MicroFocus solution components (e.g. Application Performance Management (APM) Universal Discovery (UD), Dimensions) required.

  • Experience designing, planning and implementing MicroFocus solution integrationswith external event/data sources.

  • Experience installing and managing Splunk, including dashboard creation.

  • Experience developing maintenance procedures, managing operations, implementingtask automation and general self-monitoring of BSM platform.

  • Requires overall domain knowledge of IT infrastructure, system management,middleware, DBs, application and IT service management.

  • Experience in administering and developing MicroFocus/HP enterprise monitoring tools.

  • Experience in administering COTS monitoring tools.

  • Must have excellent oral, written and customer service skills.

Additional experience that would be a plus:

  • Experience with SSRS – SQL Server Reporting Services

  • Experience with SSIS – SQL Server Integration Service

  • Experience programming in C#, .Net core, Angular

  • Experience with Windows or Linux administration

  • Familiar with CA Tools including CA ServiceDesk.

  • Familiari with monitoring platforms such as Zenoss or Longitude.

  • Integration experience with ServiceNow.

  • Experience with scripting (shell, JavaScript, Jython, Python, Perl) and/or programming in Java and C.

  • Experience in requirements analysis or business analysis skills.

  • Experience in ITIL methodology.
