ID- Principal Mechanical Engineer, FEA Simulation
Work with mechanical design teams across the world to understand CAE analysis requirements and perform static & dynamic, linear & non-linear structural simulations
Prepare CAD models for modifications and improvement suggestions to design teams
Generate reports to both internal and external stakeholders and communicate key findings with improvement suggestions
Support failure analysis by being part of the cross functional failure analysis team to perform root cause analysis and provide solutions
Identify and implement best practice methods to generate necessary simulation models and results
Work with test and reliability labs, to take inputs and correlate physical test methods with simulation methods.
Develop optimized workflows and/or reusable templates for regular FEA simulations.
Collaborate with simulation experts community for knowledge sharing and best practices implementation
Explore current trends and new advancements in simulations and attempt to match them with product applications
Knowledge in thermal and explicit analysis will be a plus
Organize training sessions for engineers to perform basic simulations
Define simulation oriented research projects with long-term focus and work towards executing and applying them
At least 5 years of experience in FEA an added advantage
Possess Masters or PHD in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in Automotive interiors is desirable
Must have the ability to work in an incredibly fast-paced environment
Ability to perform analytical calculations based on basic theories, formulas and mathematical laws
Strong communication skills
Experience in Functional areas: linear, non-linear, static, dynamic (random, harmonic, transient, modal and shock), Thermal, Fatigue, multi-physics, Explicit (impact, collision), Failure prediction, Optimization
