Corp S&T - Senior Specialist, UAM Sensor (2yrs contract)



Job Description


• Survey, analysis and evaluation of state-of-the-art sensor systems for UAM applications

• Development of Sensor Analysis and Environmental model solutions, pushing the boundaries in terms of scenarios and features and reflecting them in test flight campaigns

• Development of sensor fusion algorithms

• Analyzing and reviewing sensor data to evaluate sensor performance

• Designing and conducting tests to validate sensor performance

• Support the miniaturization of sensor systems while improving its robustness

• Creating and maintaining technical documentation

• Supporting functional safety & systems engineering analysis

Job Requirements


• Degree in electrical engineering, aerospace, system dynamics and controls or comparable qualification

• 3+ professional experience in the aviation industry and UAV development

• Advanced knowledge in Robotics (SLAM, Sensor Fusion)

• Experience with IMUs, GPS, telemetry and cameras

• Experience with PIXHawk, and familiarity with various drone platforms

• Strong background in mathematics, linear algebra, geometry, and probability

• Knowledge in software engineering, software architecture methods and object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Python, C++) is an added advantage

• Experience with MATLAB is highly desirable

• Experience in Agile development methods is an added advantage (Scrum, Kanban)

• Experience in systematic problem-solving approaches

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to work well in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams

• Strong analytical skills
