Job Description:

Development of novel and innovative algorithms and software components for advanced interior sensing solutions, e.g. gesture recognition using 3D image data (Time-of-Flight)

Work on Innovation, pre-development, system level and product solutions with both internal and external partners (teams, companies, institutes)

Development of sensor information merging strategies by combining image data with other sensor data

Responsible for technical coordination and management of software suppliers (e.g. suppliers of computer vision algorithms)

Scoping and the evaluation of the 3rd party software deliveries based on defined acceptance criteria

Definition and clarification of technical requirements (internal or customer)

Software development for Interior Systems Solutions prototypes and demonstrators in close collaboration with software core development and HMI development

Alignment with multiple cross-functional teams and driving adoption into products, systems and other offerings

Manage projects and related aspects of those projects

Proactively identify interesting technologies and areas to focus on within the overall business strategy

Drive discussions with start-ups, suppliers, technology providers

Contribute in shaping Continental's ID product and systems roadmap and bring new technologies and innovation to life

Job Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Development

Excellent knowledge of Software Engineering & Algorithm development

Experience in software development based on embedded solutions e.g. Controller platforms / Software Architecture is preferred

Good software architecture, simulation, validation and testing experience

Requirements Engineering concerning Software design, functions and use cases

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to liaise with various departments, external partner & customers, both locally and internationally

Experience with development processes concerning hardware development and embedded systems with real-time constraints

Track record of developing novel algorithms and/or solutions and driving their adoption

Team player with inter-cultural competencies

Strong skills in solving analytical problems
