What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Value Stream Manager of Electronics, you will be the expert in assembling and packaging of Electronic Detonators. You will be part of a dynamic team who drives the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety. Other duties will include:

  • Soldering of wires to electronic harnesses. (Solder certification)

  • Complete manufacture of Electronicassemblies

  • Verifying product counts, package in accordance with product specifications.

  • Complete inspection steps as required for materials used in Assembly of Electronic Detonators (Vision requirement)

  • Perform tooling changes, cleaning, and basic preventative maintenance of all equipment.

  • Maintain neat, clean and orderly work area; provide accurate and legible traceability to all raw materials

  • Tape full completed boxes of product, assemble in trays and strap if required.

  • May be required to perform temporary, unusual or miscellaneous work as directed by dept. leader.

  • Operate wire lift in daily operations

  • Verify product counts and reconcile any discrepancies using SAP

  • Communicate with stakeholders including MQEs and Maintenance to assist with any mechanical issues

  • Perform cleaning and basic preventative maintenance of all equipment.

  • Maintain neat, clean and orderly work area; provide accurate and legible traceability to all raw materials

  • Place orders for raw materials if necessary for the operation

What We’re Looking For:

  • High School Education or GED equivalent

  • Manufacturing experience a plus

  • Technical experience and manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Ability to read and write English, perform basic math and to learn SAP functions

  • Must satisfy the requirements for a “possessor of explosives” as defined by BATFE

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as Safety rules, Work Instructions, Process Specs, Quality Plans, and Packaging Standards

  • Ability to obtain a certification for soldering

  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
