Job Description:

  1. Initiate and maintain a network within the Category, AP, SQM &Logistics during the NSI process

  2. Lead CFT (R&D, SQM and Logistics & Category {if necessary}) for the supplier NSI visit

  3. Communicate and review the CFT's supplier recommendation(s) to the Category Management based on results of the assessment tool and continuous activity for gaps closure. Result should be the best fit for Continental

  4. Work closely with the Category Management to understand Category strategy and potential gaps which may be closed by the introduction of new suppliers

  5. Interface frequently with SQM to communicate NSI efforts and coordinate subsequent VDA audit at the supplier

  6. Using the NSI tool, assess new potential suppliers based on Continental's 5 pillar concept (areas of company, technology, quality, logistics & cost)

  7. Collect and review the supplier self assessment results with CFT, coordinate visit to supplier facility, establish agenda for the visit, perform the NSI & identify gaps and come to a gap closure agreement with the supplier

  8. Communicate NSI results to CFT as well as the supplier

  9. Be the "one face" to the new supplier during the NSI process

  10. Communicate Continental's expectation to the new supplier

  11. Provide the supplier with Purchasing documentation (GQA, SSC, etc.) Improve supplier awareness of the regulatory Conti requirement, reflect physical and general risks during the NSI process

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor degree or above with major in electrical/mechanical engineering

  2. Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in automotive industry

  3. Proficient English both in oral and written

  4. Can work under pressure

  5. Willing to travel

  6. A good communicator and professional presenter

  7. Strong negotiation skills
