Hilton Duty Engineer 值班工程师 in Shanghai, China
General supervision of shift operation, all staffs under his control and the allocation of work and distribution of the workforce in accordance with instruction from the Chief Engineer.
Liaise with the Engineer in the department preventative maintenance program and supervise the implementation during his duty.
Inspect and control the efficiency of all plants, associated system and equipment.
Recommend changes of equipment or procedures to achieve the highest possible savings on operation and energy cost.
Maintain a Log Book of all occurrences during his watch.
Ensure smooth hand-over to the next shift staff and discuss action to be taken with respect to uncompleted work and any special attention required.
Make inspections of all areas of the building and grounds to ensure safety operation; supervision of works in progress and notify defects to be corrected.
Assist in coordinating the work of contractors on the scheduled job.
Act as a fire chief during his duty. Be responsible for the hotel safety.
Supervise and inspect hotel department’s fire preventive works and take proper measures to stop any violation of the fire prevention works.
Supervise and train technicians and apprentices in the correct performance of their duties and development of skills and knowledge to prepare them for eligibility to high grades.
Responsible for recommending disciplinary action in respect of his subordinate.
Perform other duties may be assigned.
Based on the Hilton Life Safety Policy and Protocol, Duty Manager will be held responsible for below articles during his or her shift for any direct or indirect life-safety related event within the hotel premise. (Events include, but not limited: Fire, Emergency Issue, Injure of Guests, or Crisis Issues).
1.Participate first aid and CPR training program, and obtain corresponding qualification certificate. Ensure the validation of the certificate.
2.On the presence of emergency event, follow the lead of Duty Manager, act together with other ERT members on duty. Ensure all response taken complying with the guidance in ‘Crisis Management Manual’.
3.Collaborate with other departments and crisis management teams to conduct rescue, evacuation, first-aid and searching, etc.
4.Provide appropriate engineering advice for emergency rescue.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
Knowledge of hotel electric/mechanic system.
Familiar with hotel engineering equipment.
