Position Category: Project/Program/Product Management--Non-tech Company/Location (search) : Country (Full Name): : United States Job Description Amazon Softlines is seeking a talented, driven and customer-obsessed Senior Leader of Program Management, with proven experience in scaling high growth businesses and delivering thought leadership. The Senior Manager will lead a team of Category Merchant Managers (CMMs) and Program Managers responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow third-party marketplace sales for the Shoes and Luggage categories. The Senior Manager will also define and implement strategic programs and initiatives to fuel long-term growth for the Shoes and Luggage categories. This is a pivotal role that will blend day-to-day P&L management with longer term strategic thinking and execution. The successful candidate commands a highly quantitative and analytical skillset, exercises superb business judgment, and possesses strong people management skills. The position requires a multi-faceted individual; one that has the ability to lead a team and influence others while also working autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment. As a member of the general manager's senior team, you will partner with functional peers in setting the business' long range strategic and financial plans. You will possess direct knowledge of core retail functions within the Shoes and Luggage businesses (vendor management, marketing, operations and finance) and be capable of acting as a proxy for the general manager in high level meetings with both internal and external executives. We view this role as a stepping stone to bigger and more complex roles within Amazon Retail. The Senior Manager of Program Management will be responsible for the following: Leading and developing a team of Category Merchant Managers and Program Managers in support of the US Shoes and Luggage categories Identifying market segment trends and developing a comprehensive selection strategy for the Shoes and Luggage categories; partnering with internal business development teams to identify, pursue and close selection targets Working with internal strategic account management teams to identify key selling partners and scalably grow third-party marketplace sales Partnering with internal fees teams to model, test and measure fee promotions and fee changes within our third-party business Identifying, implementing and scaling new customer-facing innovations to improve customer experience and relevancy, and deliver improved traffic and conversion Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or related field 8+ years' professional experience in product/program management, vendor/partner management, supply chain management or finance Experience leading teams and recruiting, hiring and developing talent Strong verbal and written communication skills Proven track record of collaborating successfully with internal and external partners Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to deal with ambiguous problems Ability to think both strategically and tactically with strong attention to detail Preferred Qualifications MBA or related Master's degree Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning and task delegation Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including strong writing and speaking skills Previous experience with P&L responsibility and track record of delivering strong financial results Ability to influence and inspire action in others, with or without a
