The Challenge This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated team that is innovating, evolving and expanding our current video tools to meet the needs of next generation editors and storytellers. The Adobe Video team is looking for a talented, self-motivated Senior Software Quality Engineer with expertise in writing automated tests for desktop and mobile applications to help us build the future. What you'll do Play pivotal role in development of product test automation plans Build automation scripts and tests to ensure high-quality of our video and audio tools. Write code that addresses one or more concepts of reliability, security, maintainability and world readiness. Test and profile code written by developers across several teams. Perform manual (black box) testing to validate test results, and file bugs against fail cases. Take ownership for the automated testing of features or feature areas of medium to large complexity. Work in an agile development environment, coordinating with other internal and external teams to help ensure proper workflows throughout the entire app experience. Provide accountability and ownership for all task assignments. Propose and design creative solutions to when presented with key requirements. Contribute to framework and automation design and requirements discussions. Experiment and explore new technologies to contribute to the growth of the automation team. Exhibit a level of technical leadership needed for future growth What you'll need to succeed Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience developing automated testing solutions for desktop, mobile, and/or web applications Strong coding skills in languages such as JavaScript and Python (C++ is a plus) The ability to build and maintain a build system and/or test harness. Windows Visual Studio and/or Mac Xcode application experience (both preferred). Experience with Jenkins, Perforce and other build and automation tools. Experience working with agile development processes and team structures. Knowledge of and experience with continuous deployment and integration processes. Strong problem solving skills; ability to come up with creative solutions to solve difficult problems. Ability to deliver against deadlines and achieve results with little supervision or direction. Flexibility to move between tasks and sometimes across teams. Good time management skills with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written). Helpful skills and knowledge Experience editing video with desktop or mobile tools (Premiere Pro is a plus). Understanding of desktop application workflows.
