National University Sanford Harmony Per Diem Trainer in Seattle, Washington

This position is part-time, $300/day per Diem, involves travel and work location is remote. We currently have openings in Hawaii, Chicago, Oregon and Washington areas.

The Trainer for the Sanford Education Harmony Program is responsible for the external outreach efforts and professional training and support of participating teachers for Sanford Harmony.

The Sanford Education Programs, developed by Arizona State University and made possible by a generous gift from T. Denny Sanford, include Sanford Harmony and Sanford Inspire. The Sanford Inspire program is a state of the art professional development program for pre-service and in-service teachers and focuses on the best practices for inspirational instruction. The Sanford Harmony program is a Pre-K through 6th grade social-emotional teaching program that cultivates strong classroom relationships between all students.

The Sanford Trainer is responsible for training and supporting teachers and schools as assigned by the Sr. Ambassador or designee. This individual will be responsible for working with and supporting teachers and schools within the Sanford programs. They will ensure clients are dealt with professionally and effectively with team members to reach and maintain growth and implementation goals. The Trainer will also provide schools with ongoing support to ensure deeper understanding of Social and Emotional Learning as well as stronger implementation and fidelity of the Sanford Programs. This may include the use of Sanford Inspire modules, webinars, or other methods as needed. At the same time, the trainer will promote the SEC/NU System mission, vision and values to the company and to its employees.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reporting to the Lead Ambassador-Implementation & Training, the full-time Harmony trainers will conduct daily and follow up professional development training to adopting school districts and organizations.

  • Execute training to assigned Harmony districts and organizations.

  • In collaboration with schools/districts/organizations, provide customized implementation & training plans that support the initial year implementation of Harmony.

  • Provide direct coaching using a range of strategies to build confidence and competency in each teacher.

  • Establish strong partnership relationships with Harmony accounts include teachers, coaches, and administrators.

  • Work with evaluators and other coaches to build a community of practice.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Bachelor?s degree required, Master?s preferred

  • At least 3-6 years teaching experience required

  • Familiarity with Pre-Kindergarten, Schools, and Community-based Organizations

  • Strong knowledge based in both child development

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work with under served populations in high-need communities

  • Ability to develop and sustain successful collaborative partnerships

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to travel with some overnight involved

  • Strong track record as a consultant or lead trainer within the educational arena

  • Strong knowledge based in both child development

  • Deep experience in urban school district training and professional development
