POSITION SUMMARY Inspect aerospace and commercial CNC machined parts to verify configuration to blueprints, drawings, and/or customer specifications. Work with complex measurements and 1st article reports. Use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance. POSITION DUTIES & TASKS Inspector Responsibilities Provide complex first article reports. Inspect, test, or measure CNC machined parts for conformance to specifications. Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers. Read blueprints, work orders, part lists, or other materials to determine specifications are being met. Record inspection or test data, such as weights, holes, or feature positions, and quantities inspected. Discard or reject products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications. Processes & Procedures Troubleshoot process and provide general statistical data. Effectively communicate with both internal and external customers. Perform testing on materials including paint thickness. Collect or select samples for testing or for use as models. Write test or inspection reports describing results, recommendations, or needed repairs. Safety Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Follow all safety rules and regulations. Training Able to be a role model, coach and trainer for new associates to foster a team environment. WORKING CONDITIONS Work Setting, including hazards: Inside environment may be cold or hot depending on weather. Ability to lift and carry 1-20 lbs. constantly; 21-25 lbs. frequently; 26-50 lbs. occasionally. Need ability to push and pull, stand, sit, walk, stoop and bend, kneel and squat, crouch. Ability to twist and turn. Tools & Equipment: Personal Computer, Microsoft Office, telephone, measuring tools. Customer Interactions: May include internal and external customer interaction. QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 4+ years of quality assurance inspection. Knowledge of paint thickness. Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing skills.
