We're looking for an accomplished Business Development Manager (BDM) to play a big role on the Global Storage Business Development team. The BDM will work closely with the strategic accounts team to drive go to market initiatives including sales strategy, sales programs, and subject matter expertise. This role will be responsible for defining strategies and implementing programs to prepare the AWS strategic accounts team to understand, sell and support our storage services and will also own and drive targeted sales programs with the AWS field, partners, and customers. The Principal BDM tole requires a hands-on, results oriented individual who is detail oriented, analytical, a great communicator and be able to work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment. A successful candidate will be highly motivated, possess a strong sense of ownership, have exceptional organizational skills, high integrity and accountability with a proven track record of creating scalable, global initiatives and with proven results. At AWS, all roles require technical competency, so familiarity with AWS services and the aptitude to quickly learn the storage portfolio is a must. Roles & Responsibilities: * Design, implement and run global programs supporting the storage services portfolio * Hands on execution, communication and management of programs * Network and communicate clearly with Business Development, Services, Sales and Technical teams to achieve mutual goals * Develop metrics and analyze trends for key takeaways to achieve business objectives WW Storage BDM Basic Qualifications* BS/BA degree in Business, Marketing or similar discipline * 7+ years of demonstrable experience in one or more of the following areas: business development, project management, operations, sales or marketing * Familiar and comfortable talking about the AWS portfolio of services, pricing and programs * Technical/Analytical ability to dive deep into data, existing processes, people and systems in order to invent, simplify and improve inefficient or unnecessarily complex processes * Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a complex, ambiguous and fast-paced environment * Strong ability with tools such as Excel, Salesforce.com, wiki and document management. * Demonstrable ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple projects * Exceptional attention to detail, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills * A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations * Ability to work effectively with cross-organizational teams in an international, diverse and complex organization * Strong written and verbal communication skills to positively influence decision
