Community House Mental Health Agency Maintenance Technician in Seattle, Washington
Maintenance TechFull-time (40 hours a week)Mon-Fri / 10:00am- 6:00pm or 8:00am to 5:00pm but flexible. SALARY: $16.00/hour + DOEJOB SUMMARYMaintenance Staff will be responsible for conducting routine janitorial, painting, preventative maintenance, and routine/emergency maintenance at various types of properties owned by a non-profit mental health agency.RESPONSIBILITIES1. Prepare vacant units for re-renting in a timely manner. Complete cleaning, maintenance, and coordinate with vendors or other agency staff. This includes performing pest management duties as needed.2. Ability to work non-traditional schedule as required by the property needs.3. Maintain tenant and staff confidentiality at all times.4. Have legible handwriting.5. Be able to do simple mathematics.6. Be able to read and comprehend maintenance requests, work order logs, and agency policy and procedures.Specific Support Duties Required on Emergency Need or Specific Supervisor Assignment1. Maintain records in keeping with agency, county, and state guidelines.2. Provide individual tenant contact when appropriate to tenant emergency needs.3. Attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings/conferences when assigned.4. Perform other duties as assigned.SPECIFIC DUTIES1. Inform Property Manager of needed maintenance supplies and equipment per instructions.2. Keep storage areas clean and organized.3. Work with residential staff and outside contractors in a respectful and courteous manner.4. Ensure facilities are in proper working order and safe by assessing plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical needs and informing supervisor of these needs.5. Ensure disposal of trash and other discarded items after each assigned work order.6. Turn in maintenance assignment sheet and turn in to supervisor on a weekly basis.7. Meet with supervisor a minimum of 2 times per week to assess maintenance tasks for the week.8. Perform facility cleaning tasks as needed and assigned by supervisor.9. Minimize travel time for supplies through appropriate project planning.10. Other duties as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTS1. Current First Aid and CPR card required after hire.2. Current home phone/address.3. Valid drivers license and clean driving record in order to use agency vehicles.4. Must have own vehicle to use for driving from site to site (agency reimburses mileage after trip to first site, and before trip to last site of each day- at $0.54 per mile).5. Documentation of personal insurance in order to use personal vehicle for transport and to use agency vehicles.6. 2-step (4-visit) Tuberculosis test is required upon hire. Company will pay for tests if employee completes both steps in 30 day period.7. Agree to permit Criminal Conviction Inquiry.8. Be free of substance abuse.9.
