Financial Analyst II, Medicine Director Job ID2018-29123Area of Interest Finance/Credit and Investment Location Name Hospital Main Campus FTE/Hours per pay period 1.0 FTE (80 hours per bi-weekly pay periods) Work Status Regular Department Medicine Director Shift Day Shift Overview What you will do: Perform professional accounting and analytical functions to support University of Washington Department of Pediatrics and Seattle Children's leadership decision making. Work with leadership on development of financial models for clinical, operating and capital budgets. Prepare a variety of analysis for Department and SCH leaders including variance analysis, division specific reports, proformas, and other analytical activities to support the missions of the Department and Seattle Children's Hospital. In collaboration with other members of the department finance team (includes SCH based Clinical Finance and UW based Finance) participate in identifying and implementing process improvements using Continuous Process Improvement tools. Requirements Required Education/Experience: - B.A. Degree in Financial field (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Minimum of 5 years of progressive responsible experience in financial analysis. Preferred: - MBA or MHA. - Experience in a health care setting. - Experience using decision support systems or other financial applications.
