We are currently helping our client with their search for an IT Desktop Services Technician. Duration - 12 month contract Location - Seattle, WA - LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY Work sponsorship is not available at this time JOB SUMMARY: The ITDesktop Services Technician will provide on-site support to image, install, upgrade desktop and portable computer hardware that have been identified as end of support. Additionally, you will transfer user data and any software licensed applications to new hardware. The Desktop Services Tech will also be responsible for the proper recording of new assets, disposal preparation of old assets, and accurate reporting of disposed items, and will escalate any technical issues and coordinates with information other technology staff to resolve problems. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides timely and professional technical desk side upgrade services to our users; provides basic technical support for Windows 10 and desktop configuration. Works closely with project management team and with taking instruction to complete assigned tasks. Ensures a high level of customer service to all users; ensures proper and accurate feedback on technical problems; and coordinates communications between client and information technology staff. Utilizes and maintains tracking tickets, software, and related systems to ensure efficient desk side services and customer service operations; maintains forms, documentation, and logs; and generates reports. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: 2+ years of information technology experience providing onsite desktop support to internal customers and with direct hands on experience performing computer upgrades. Knowledge of methods and techniques of performing basic troubleshooting on computer hardware imaging, data wiping, software, printers, networked, and peripheral equipment. Knowledge of workstation hardware, networking, and software components, printer, and desktop peripheral operating systems. Ability to troubleshoot Windows 10 installations. Strong principles and practices of customer service. Proven ability to establishand maintaineffective working relationships with other department staff, management, vendors, outside agencies, community groups and the public.
