Training Specialist, Mid

Key Role:

Manage vendor training execution and scheduling based on inputs from training lead. Execute a Crew Scheduling and Phasing Plan (CSPP) for training. Coordinate with a Navy manager on expense projections and decisions on which billets are supported for travel. Submit travel requests and travel order coordination and execution to support government representative approvals in a timely manner. Work on expense management and reporting of travel tasks with the government representative and coordinate with Defense Travel System (DTS) managers to eliminate barriers for timely approvals and travel claims with sailors. Coordinate the assigned classroom and training resources necessary for vendor training execution. Attend Navy meetings to coordinate support for training and test events.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with Navy training processes supporting Navy Sailor training

-3 years of experience with managing a training program

-Experience with coordinating Sailor training across school houses, includes scheduling, orders, and travel approval summaries

-Experience with tailored training supporting test ship requirements

-Experience with Navy ship operations

-Secret clearance

-AA or AS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Littoral Combat Ships (LCSes)

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including informing and advising senior leaders comfortable

-Possession of excellent analysis and problem-solving skills

-BA or BS degree

-Navy Training Certifications
