What You Will Be Doing

--Projects will include (but are not limited to): bridges, dredging, marinas, pile driving, inland construction and environmental improvement

  • Identifying new public and private sector bid opportunities

  • Preparing subcontractor bid packages

  • Performing Take Offs

  • Attending pre-bid meetings

  • Beginning/maintaining relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers

  • Reviewing project specs and ensuring that requirements are met i.e. minority utilization, regulations, etc.

  • Working as a member of a collaborative team

What You Need for this Position

5+ years of relevant heavy civil estimator experience and:

  • Proficiency with Bluebeam, HCSS, and/or similar

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Prior experience with marine construction is a PLUS

  • Extreme attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent deadline management

  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen

  • Bachelors Degree PREFERRED (Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Similar)
