National University Program Manager, Sanford Inspire in San Diego, California
Sanford Inspire is a professional development program for pre-service and in-service teachers, working with a collaborative of universities and focusing on the best practices for inspirational instruction. The Sanford Inspire initiative is designed to make a positive and sustained impact on teaching and learning within Pre-K to 12 schools through enhanced pre-service teacher education programs and targeted professional development for classroom teachers.
The Program Manager serves in a support role in key areas of Inspire?s business including day-to-day operations and coordinating the technical planning and performance of the Inspire programs. The Program Manager is also responsible for assisting the Director of Inspire in the local implementation and national roll-out of the Sanford Inspire framework and expansion of Sanford Inspire in the market place, maintaining and building academic quality and delivery, and determining a collaborative research and assessment agenda. The Program Manager is responsible for assisting with the development, marketing, and implementation of the program offerings as well as managing university and PK-12 school district partnerships. This position will implement the strategic and tactical business plans as well as ensure the program meets the objectives for growth as defined in National University?s Strategic Plan.
Assist Inspire Director with the development and management of strategic programs
Provide support to corporate, nonprofit, foundation, and university partnerships
Provide support and coordination with the delivery of all Inspire programs from start to completion
Manage and update content and presentations used in all Inspire programs
Assist with the development and on-boarding programs for new Inspire affiliates
Assist Inspire Director with prospecting and new business development
Manage day-to-day operations of Inspire Program
Assist with identifying and recruiting potential members for an advisory board and managing the board
Provide training support to affiliates for Inspire Program dissemination when necessary
Manage and co-host regular conference calls with new and existing affiliates
Assist Inspire Director with the program evaluation, including performance-based and client feedback surveys
Assist Inspire Director with the recruiting process for program instructors
Maintain competitive intelligence of competing seminars and Inspire educational programs
Coordinate and assist with managing all aspects of curriculum as assigned
Assist with the development of outreach strategies for participant recruitment
Schedule and oversee planning for special events that publicize the organization and its programs to the community
Savvy in the identification, cultivation and management of strategic partnerships
Proven experience in program implementation or other managerial position
Successful track record in effectively planning, directing, organizing and administering diverse activities to ensure effective delivery of programs.
Excellent organizational and management skills
An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities
Experience facilitating complex decision-making among multiple stakeholders.
Ability to work in cross-functional and matrix-managed teams.
Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.
Travel: Up to 25% travel required.
Education & Experience
Bachelor?s degree required.
Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in promoting and implementing education programs.
Experience in developing positive working relationships with education leaders from PK-12 and higher education.
