Generali Global Assistance Corporate Licensing Analyst in San Diego, California

Job Summary:

Maintains processes and controls that ensure that all corporate licenses retained are aligned with regulatory requirements and Company risk management standards. Coordinates and communicates with the various Departments of Insurance (DOI) as required. Liaises with internal teams in both locations, San Diego and Kansas City, to ensure that the required licenses are held for the employees at each location and each entity. Also responsible for maintaining all licenses for largest partners, HomeAway and potentially others, including their entity and individual licenses in all applicable states.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct reviews of each entity?s licenses to ensure that all required licenses are held

  • Provide guidance to internal employees on the licensing regulation requirements throughout the process of obtaining applicable licenses

  • Stays current with, understands, and complies with DOI, federal, state, and company regulations, policies, and procedures

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Departments of Insurance

  • Coordinates with insurance licensing counterparts in other countries to ensure domestic and global requirements are in place and are not conflicting

  • Understands all requirements associated with producer, MGA, TPA, and adjuster licenses to ensure that each location holds all required licenses

  • Stay current with requirements for bonds, E&O policies, etc. in all states to ensure that each entity holds everything needed, as required by each state DOI

  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:

  • A minimum of 4 years of data entry and/or administrative experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an insurance or regulated industry

  • Prior licensing experience required

  • Exceptional accuracy in written communication required

  • Attentive listening, verbal communication skills and exceptional client handling

  • PC Proficiency: Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

  • Excellent organizational, clerical and data entry skills

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required

  • Bachelor?s Degree preferred

Physical Working Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit for long periods of time; use of hands to grasp, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; finger dexterity; talk; hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
