CVS Health Pharmacist - Member Support in San Antonio, Texas

Job Description

CVS Health has an exciting opportunity for licensed pharmacists to work in a complex, high impact patient counseling call center for our Member Services department.

As the pharmacist you will provide clinically relevant information on prescription medications dispensed form our mail order pharmacy through communication with members and/or health care professionals. The pharmacist also performs both inbound and outbound prescription transfers to and from retail or other PBM pharmacies, accepts new prescriptions from prescriber offices, as well as other duties as assigned. Candidates must be able to enter and verify prescriptions for accuracy, contact physician's office, review patient's profile/history, drug interaction, sensitivities, and usage database. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with patients, prescribers, technicians, other pharmacists, drug manufacturers and other areas of the business. This position may work in multiple types of queues and databases to resolve issues. This position may have the ability to Work From Home, depending on several factors including site location, employee performance, department need, as well as other criteria.

Required Qualifications

-Texas Pharmacist License - active and in good standing

-Advanced verbal and written communication skills

-Team-oriented, customer service focused, and able to

identify process improvements

-Available to work a Sunday schedule

-Responsive, reliable and able to express


Preferred Qualifications

  • Retail experience

  • Call Center experience


BS in pharmacy or Pharm.D.
