Clear Channel Outdoor Manager – Reporting & Technical Accounting in San Antonio, Texas

Job Summary:

The Manager of Reporting & Technical Accounting is responsible for preparation and review of SEC reports, including 10Qs, 10Ks, and other periodic filings. This position is also responsible for peforming and documenting technical GAAP research.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings, ensuring adherence to Regulation S-K and S-X requirements and subsidiary reporting requirements.

  • Maintain the financial reporting system, Wdesk.

  • Prepare GAAP disclosure checklists and draft disclosures.

  • Work closely with segments to review ASC 606 revenue and ASC 842 lease disclosures.

  • Interact with external auditors in completing the quarterly reviews and annual audits.

  • Assist with preparation for quarterly earnings calls.

  • Perform and document GAAP research and contract analysis.

  • Track Accounting Standard Updates and train the segments on new standards.

  • Update and maintain accounting policies.

  • Maintain documentation supporting SOX compliance.

  • Prepare comfort letter support for debt issuances.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Job Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.

  • CPA Certification.

Work Experience

  • 5-10 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably including direct experience in SEC reporting. Will consider less experience for exceptional candidates.

  • Strong U.S. GAAP foundation including understanding of recent GAAP standards.

  • Big 4 audit experience preferred.


  • Critical thinking and attention to detail required.

  • Familiarity with SEC Regulations and reporting requirements.

  • Experience in researching and documenting GAAP issues and conclusions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Experience with Wdesk preferred.

  • Experience with XBRL is a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.

  • This job is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
