Samaritan Hospital , located in Troy, NY and a member of St. Peter’s Health Partners, is seeking a per diem speech therapistto join its team of dedicated healthcare providers. Our exceptional team of Speech Therapists evaluates patient therapy needs, plan treatment programs and perform therapy utilizing appropriate procedures, equipment and techniques within the scope of the profession. Problems are solved through research, resource utilization, and supervisory consult to select appropriate patient care interventions. This position requires effective communication and interpersonal skills requiring tact, diplomacy, and flexibility when in contact with physicians, patients, families, other professionals, and hospital staff as well as excellent clinical skills in diverse treatment approaches.

We are looking for a committed speech therapist with flexibility and exceptional clinical reasoning skills to provide primarily inpatient services. Videofloruoscopy experience is preferred as we offer this service for inpatients and outpatients. Must have availability during the week.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved Speech Pathology Therapy program with a Master’s degree

  • Current NYS Speech Pathologist license and registration

  • ASHA Certification

Samaritan Hospital , an affiliate of St. Peter’s Health Partners, is a 212 bed acute care community hospital located in Troy, NY. In 2012, our Troy acute care hospitals embarked on a major $99 million revitalization effort project to renovate and modernize the inpatient facilities on Samaritan’s campus. The new five story patient pavilions will feature a brand new emergency department, intensive care unit, progressive care unit, medical surgical unit and parking garage with direct access to the campus.
