Job Summary

TheNHMUAccounting Clerk and Membership Assistant is responsible for advancing the accounting operations of the Natural History Museum of Utah’s philanthropy department.

Responsibilities

This accounting clerk will handle philanthropic gift processing, including preparing required deposit forms for memberships, assistance on monthly expense and revenue reconciliations, processing Museum membership requests, and other development related tasks. Additional responsibilities the opportunity to assist withNHMUdevelopment events, including our annual summer gala.

Minimum Qualifications

One year of experience performing accounting functions and preparing related reports, or equivalency; the ability to use standard office machines, calculators and data input terminals; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.

Preferences

Preference given to University of Utah students with an interest in an accounting or business career, has strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to plan, set, and meet timelines, experience with databases, and are self-starters.
