Jewell County would like to bring in an intern to make marketing videos to translate the vision and historical story for public consumption. The videos will be used across social media platforms and at meetings with public officials to help better tell their story. In addition to videos, the intern will be responsible for developing artwork for print media. To sustain the project, the intern will be asked to educate the public on creating videos with smart phones. Share videos on social media platforms and with public officials. Produce artwork for print media campaigns and social media graphics. Host educational sessions for the general public on creating and editing videos with smart phones. Work with the school to build the alumni database. Work with the school to integrate entrepreneurship into school curriculum. Community service or volunteering with a community organization is highly encouraged. This would be outside of the designated scope of work and working hours. Participate in any professional staff development that may be available. Complete other responsibilities as assigned by mentoring supervisorsWhat You'll Need to Succeed:Minimum Requirements: Completion of at least six university semesters at any college or university. Students enrolled in marketing, communication studies, public relations, videography, or graphic design are encouraged to apply. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with individuals, groups, and through mass media and social media. Self-motivation and ability to work with minimum supervision. Experience working with individuals, groups, and co-workers to accomplish individual and/or group goals, as evidenced by previous leadership roles.Preferred Qualifications: Students from NW Kansas are preferred. Other Requirements: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment This position may require travel connected with official duties, including attendance at evening meetings, participation in and out of county events, so access to a personal vehicle with car insurance, and a valid driver's license upon employment is required. It is preferred the intern provide their own laptop with necessary software and a smartphone with video capabilities.Salary & Benefits:$20.00 per hour. 40 hours per week.
