Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Documentation Tools Developers create and maintain tools that enable our technical writers to create content and generate output. You will be working with Java, XML, and XSLT to create transformations between different XML DTDs, as well as HTML and PDF. You will work with senior engineering staff from cross-platform development teams to transition from proprietary authoring and publishing tools, to a central standard tools suite.
You will be asked to learn new tools, keep track of multiple concurrent projects, and work independently to gather requirements, create specs, and implement code changes. Degree in computer science or software engineering
Candidates must have demonstrated ability in software development, design and release, including:
Extensive experience in programming languages, such asJava, C, C , Python, and Perl, and writing shell scripts
Knowledge of Linux or UNIX operating systems, such as Oracle Linux or Oracle Solaris
Knowledge of version control systems such as git or Subversion
Experience of build technologies, such as GNU make, Ant or Gradle
Experience of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools such as GitLab or Jenkins
Experience in document authoring, generation, publication technologies, including
Understanding of SGML or XML document markup languages, such as DocBook or DITA, and lightweight markup languages such as Markdown
Knowledge of structured XML or SGML writing tools such as Oxygen XML
Extensive experience in XML transformation technologies, such XSLT and XSL-FO
(Desirable) Experience of static site generator tools such as Jekyll or Sphinx
Understanding of usability principles, including accessibility
Strong organization skills
Internal customer-focused perspective
Experience developing training a plus
