Retail Account Manager - Target

job summary:

Summary

The Retail Account Manager is responsible for supporting the Target account, which includes executing joint business planning that drives volume, profit and market share within the board game segment, a fast-growth segment in the CPG space that is anticipated to reach values of more than $12 billion globally by 2023.

Essential Functions

  • Proactively recognize sales trends and identifying new business opportunities for the Target account

  • Analysis of sales data on a weekly basis reporting highlights/concerns/trends

  • Collaborative forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing new items or special events

  • Monitor instock position and proper execution by tracking PO's and shipping on time and complete

  • Attend weekly/monthly meetings with Target Buyers and Business Analysts to discuss opportunities/concerns

  • Provide meeting recaps to Target team outlining action plans for all items discussed in meetings

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (strongly preferred)

  • One to three years sales and/or customer service experience (required)

  • One to two years Target experience (strongly preferred

  • Basic computer knowledge and experience with standard office software.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong active listening skills.

  • Willingness to research independently and be able to explain various products/product lines.

  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams and individuals.

  • Proven conflict management.

  • Friendly demeanor; ability to make customer feel valued.
