Determines the proper diagnostic and procedure codes necessary to properly reflect services provided by the Pediatric Sedation Service. Enters diagnostic and procedure codes, including billing modifiers, in the system for billing purposes in a manner that properly reflects third-party carrier billing requirements for pediatric sedation.Responsible for obtaining and maintaining current malpractice information for Intensivists.Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively under pressure, ability to work accurately despite frequent interruptions while demonstrating flexibility and business etiquette during times of high stress.Performs general receptionist duties such as answering the telephone and greeting individuals who enter the office.Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability of accuracy and timeliness regarding correspondences, schedules, meetings, billing, etc.Assists the Intensivists in the development and maintenance of RSV Clinic policies and procedures.Works with the Intensivist both collaboratively and independently in the marketing of the RSV Clinic and Pediatric Sedation Services.Serves as the intermediary for credentialing of the Intensivist with both the CBO MSO including completion of all appropriate applications and contacts.Uses Charge Review work queues to correct errors and approve charge sessions within Physician charge capture in Epic for all PICU physicians on a daily basis.Orders and maintains departmental supplies and forms.Assists Intensivists with Public Relations.Provides data entry/secretarial support for computer systems and Intensivists databases.Provides assistance with meeting preparation and composes correspondence. Minute taking required for select meetings.Ability to work well with other members of the medical community and serve as a representative for the Intensivists.Demonstrates excellent communication skills, diplomacyand assertiveness.Assures effective communication between Intensivists and the referral physicians by daily notification of referral physician offices of inpatient admissions.Coordination of all outpatient follow-up appointmentsOversees incoming and outgoing mail.Triage of all incoming calls from families, insurers, hospital staff and referrals.
