What You'll Do

You have a deep understanding of procurement operations, business challenges, and the ability to translate them into solutions. Responsibilities include:

Regional Relationship Management

  • Building and keeping the relationships with regional and global stakeholders and business functions to identify business requirements including legal, tax, category, finance, supplier enablement, etc.

  • Partner with SAP Spend Management COE, Business Architecture and Country Enablement to translate business requirements into functional system design documentation

  • Track and analyze business functions’ feedback to build new business requirements (e.g. surveys results, case management C-SAT, reported escalations or process exceptions)

  • Partner with Change Management to update documentation based on business functions/end-users' feedback

  • End Users/business profiles identification for targeted training and testing

  • Teamwork with cross-regional and services to keep alignment and standardization.

Regional Service Governance

  • Execute the processes as part of the service

  • Regular reporting as part of Regional Operational Service Review of the critical metrics which includes: current volume drives, forecasted volume drivers (new release impact forecast), volume drive risk and concerns; regional Quality of the service which includes case metrics and plan improve quality metrics (if applicable); Productivity metrics including processes cycle times, time to value, capacity utilization; Customer Experience reported from case management scoring and survey results

  • Lead the resources who support processes in the region, includes current staffing model and future staffing model to align with service roadmap; govern physical & IT security with vendor providing manages service (access validation, assets, application data access); and assessment of training progress and quality scores for new joiners

  • Responsible for validation of the process and controls accuracy in the region, includes quality assessment of the controls and process (internal audits); processes specific to the regional requirements created and kept up to date; driving incremental process improvement to bring efficiency gains and reduce costs; all processes improvement must be planned and documented incl. benefit/value; and implementation of the new controls defined in partnership with Risk and Compliance COE.

Regional Operational Readiness

  • Responsible for preparing the regions for new system releases, process changes and new controls including capability assessment impact and benefit to the region and countries; identification of stabilization risks and mitigation plans; future staffing model incl. skills assessment and training plan (see regional capability governance under managing resources); involvement in testing for documented business requirements and co-ordination with end users/business functions and partners; and documenting all changes in updated process maps and desktop procedures incl. audit procedures

Additional responsibilities and duties:

  • Reprioritize work with limited direction and strive to complete additional projects/tasks as assigned

  • Benchmark the processes and provide recommendations for improvements and standardization

Who You'll Work With

Cisco Buying Services are global partners to stakeholders to procure indirect goods and services at optimal cost conforming to the highest quality standards, with shorter time to delivery through standard buying, tools methods and terms aligned with Cisco policies, practices and business controls.

You will work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders and multi-functional teams (e.g. finance, invoicing, tax, risk and compliance, category and supplier management) to execute Buying Services strategy in the regions, standardize and improve the service, and mitigate risk for Cisco. You will report to the Service Owner of Buying Services, Global Procurement Services.

Who You Are

You have an Agile mindset. You have superb communication (oral and written), negotiation skills, strong analytical skills with strong business insight. Your presentation skills are strong with an ability to craft and handle documents as well as present to leadership at all levels. You have a customer-focused approach with attention to detail. You're experienced with working in a large, complex multi-location organization. You are creative, ambitious, and a self-starter.

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 10 years of expertise in the procurement environment, with demonstrated ability and technical expertise in procurement operations or procure-to-pay process management in the US and Canada region

  • Strong knowledge of end to end procure-to-pay process

  • Solid understanding of procure-to-pay KPI’s

  • Consistent record of success as a procurement manager, procure-to-pay lead or regional procurement operations’ lead

  • Knowledge of buying process, systems, financial and tax requirements in the region

  • Knowledge of SAP Ariba system; Working knowledge of MS Office

  • European / Global experience considered favorable

  • Procurement qualification is desired (e.g. CIPS, CPP)

  • Six Sigma Certification is favorable
