What You Will Do

Seton Medical Center Williamson is a Level II Trauma center which means the Surgery unit is staffed 24/7 with at least one RN and 1 tech in house and another full team on call. The Surgery Unit at Seton Medical Center Williamson has 8 surgical suites outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment. Services include: Neurology/Spine, Orthopedic (Trauma), and Robotic cases. In fact, the majority of our elective general cases are now almost exclusively robotic (DaVinci Xi).

As an Associate with Seton Family of Hospitals-TX, you will have the opportunity to

Manages activities, workflow and nursing resources of assigned nursing unit(s).

You will:

  • Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within unit.

  • Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.

  • Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s). Develops and implements policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.

  • Monitors and adheres to budget. Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.

  • You will do all of this while contributing to mission effectiveness by promoting the spirit embodied with the Mission Statement: Service to the poor - Support the cause of those who lack resources for a reasonable quality of life. What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):

  • BLS Providercredentialed from theAmerican Heart Association (AHA)obtained within3 Months (90 days)of hire date or job transfer date.

  • LicensedRegistered Nursecredentialed from theTexas Board of Nursing.

Education:

  • Diploma

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing with experience required

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience required. 1 year of leadership or management experience required.
