Position Overview:

The role of the Communications Manager is to lead the communications agenda (corporate communications, brand PR and internal communications) for Coca-Cola Netherlands and protect & enhance the reputation of our brand, category and company, contributing to the future sustainable growth of the business.

The role of the Communications Manager is to lead the communications agenda (corporate communications, brand PR and internal communications) for Coca-Cola Netherlands and protect & enhance the reputation of our brand, category and company, contributing to the future sustainable growth of the business.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Corporate Communications

  • Act as the spokesperson

  • Handle day-to-day media requests delivering the right messages in a timely matter.

  • Build a communications strategy for company priorities such as our sustainability action plan This is Forward and our ambition to become a total beverage company.

  • Lead the corporate digital communications agenda through our company website and social media channels working closely with the Corporate Content Manager and the social media team.

  • Build relationships with journalists, pro-actively building your network.

  • Advise other associates on media relations and give media trainings and guidance where needed.

  • Brand PR

  • Build the reputation of our brand, category and company through innovative brand PR plans working closely with our marketeers using the means of press releases, press trips, press events, media interviews, social media, influencer relations and product placement.

  • Integrate corporate messaging into Brand PR initiatives

  • Play an active role in the internal Western Europe Brand PR network

  • Measure results of communication efforts through media monitoring and analysis and report on achievements.

  • Internal Communications: engage employees through transparent and regular internal communications, using existing and innovative tools.

Competencies

  • Bachelor or master's degree in communications, journalism, literature, linguistics or similar

  • 5 years of successfully demonstrated media relations experience, either at other (FMCG) companies or PR agency.

  • Proven ability to influence people and align resources toward a common strategic goal, leveraging best-in-class approaches and methodologies while fine-tuning them to meet specific needs; ability to effectively interact and influence senior management.

  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills in English and Dutch.
