Job Description Summary

Oakland University invites applications for a Special Instructor of Marketing position that will begin in August of 2020. This is a full-time teaching and service position. The person who fills this position will primarily teach some combination of undergraduate courses in introductory marketing, marketing research, consumer behavior, integrated marketing communications, marketing strategy, marketing analytics and other electives; some graduate level teaching may also be necessary. The teaching load for this position is seven classes per academic year. Teaching location and format may vary based on department needs. Preference will be given to candidates with a Masters degree or PhD in marketing (or a related field) from an AACSB-accredited university. University-level teaching experience in marketing at an AACSB-accredited university is highly preferred. Experience with university service obligations including managing student organizations, developing and conducting curricular assessment, facilitating experiential learning opportunities, and working with industry partners is highly preferred. Several years of marketing management experience in industry or consulting is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will support scholarly and/or practitioner activity at the level required for the School of Business Administration to maintain its AACSB accreditation standards. Candidates must demonstrate experience with or a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Minimum Qualifications

A Masters degree in marketing (or a related field).
