Position Information

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors’ degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. A minimum of seven years progressively responsible experience in development and fundraising in Division I Intercollegiate Athletics. Experience supervising, mentoring and providing direction to others. Demonstrated experience in all types of fundraising including; annual fund, major gifts, planned giving, and capital campaign; Proven track record of exceeding fundraising goals. Excellent organizational and analytical skills; excellent oral and written communications skills; Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays depending on work and game schedules. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, work as part of a team and motivate staff in a fast – paced environment. Demonstrated support for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the university by the university’s insurance carrier.

Desired Qualifications

Masters’ Degree or advanced degree.

Position Purpose

The Associate Athletic Director for Development serves as a member of the department’s senior leadership team that is committed to excellence and advancing the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics through its strategic plan and vision. This senior level administrator will provide leadership, direction and managerial supervision of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics’ Development Office.
