Mechanical Engineering Intern at Marquardt Switches, Inc.:

The Mechanical Engineering Intern will provide support to the mechanical engineering team.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Create/ update 3D/2D in Catia and UG NX

  • Perform tolerance stack calculations

  • Perform product testing and evaluation in support to a ME

  • Build first product samples in the lab and test functions

  • Perform calculations and investigations in support to a ME

  • Assist in root cause analysis and problem solution finding

  • Create technical documentations

Required Qualifications for this role include:

  • Currently enrolled and working towards an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA.

  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, word…etc.).

  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organization skills.

  • Willingness to learn new skills.

  • Ability to work 15-20 hours per week.

  • Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future (US Citizen or Permanent Resident).

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods

  • Ability to occasionally stand and walk

  • Ability to use close vision, color vision, and depth perception for extended periods
