Release Train Engineer, Sr. Manager
At Capital One, our card technology team is growing and we are looking for an inspiring leader and Release Train Engineer to spearhead some of our 2019 initiatives. In this role, you will manage five scrum masters and oversee API and data teams for our card technology line of business. In this Release Train Engineer role, you’ll also have the opportunity to manage and oversee programming teams that are embracing some of the latest technology including Go, AWS, JIRA, Java, and Kubernetes.
Day to Day Responsibilities for this role would include:
Managing a SAFE (scaled agile framework) environment and escalating breakdowns in the process by asking the right questions and identifying/ involving the right stakeholders to correct breakdowns.
Collecting, analyzing and measuring process data, to initiate sustainable business practices and procedures for reporting to senior leadership and executives.
Reviewing data for trends and gaps in the process that may require additional review.
Maintaining formal process documents (e.g. procedures and diagrams), and document processes and projects (creating project reports, presentations, business cases, and diagrams).
Collaborating on larger initiatives and participating in cross-functional project teams, including projects driven by other parts of the organization.
Coaching and training junior PM levels on processes, performance targets and goals.
Managing a team that consists of five seasoned Scrum Masters.
Providing customer service and training to internal customers on specific processes they can manage.
At least 4 years of experience in an Agile, Scrum, or SAFE environment
At least 4 years of experience in Business Process Management
Lean certification, Agile certification, Six Sigma certification, Business Process Management certification, or Project Management certification
6+ years of experience in an Agile, Scrum, or SAFE environment
6+ years of experience in Business Process Management
2+ years of experience with JIRA
